Summary

This session covers a wide range of topics in percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), from fundamental aspects to the latest advancements. It includes discussions on non-fasting versus fasting before interventional procedures, radial artery puncture hemostasis, ultrasound-guided transfemoral puncture in complex PCI, the use of uninterrupted direct-acting oral anticoagulants, the effect of cangrelor on infarct size in STEMI, the impact of enhanced stent visualization, the development of guidewire-based magnetic microrobots, and the experience from a multicentre registry on robotically assisted PCI. The session aims to provide a comprehensive overview of both basic and cutting-edge PCI techniques and technologies.

Presentations available when logged in:

  • A randomised trial of non-fasting versus fasting before interventional coronary procedures
  • Radial artery puncture haemostasis evaluation
  • Ultrasound-guided transfemoral puncture in complex large bore PCI
  • Uninterrupted direct-acting oral anticoagulation in patients undergoing coronary procedures
  • Effect of cangrelor on infarct size in STEMI treated by primary PCI
  • Enhanced stent visualisation impact on older myocardial infarction patients with multivessel disease
  • Fabrication and characterisation of guidewire-based magnetic microrobot for interventional procedure
  • Multicentre registry on robotically assisted percutaneous coronary interventions – TESLA registry
