Remaining challenges and role of innovative DES technology in complex PCI
Sponsored by CID S.p.A.
Summary
What still limits optimal outcomes in complex PCI, and how can current tools help overcome these barriers? Through three detailed case-based discussions, this EuroPCR 2026 session explores challenging clinical scenarios, including CTO, left main bifurcation, and complex PCI in a diabetic patient.
Each case highlights how advanced techniques, intracoronary imaging, and device selection can be leveraged to optimise procedural and long-term results. The session also focuses on the role of innovative drug-eluting stent (DES) technology, with particular attention to Cre8 EVO and its specific stent design, and how these features may contribute to improved procedural success and clinical outcomes in complex patients and lesions.
Learning Objectives
- To find out - through three complex PCI - how to maximise patient clinical outcome at short, medium and long-term leveraging on the latest techniques/image modalities/devices
- To understand how Cre8 EVO unique technologies and its specific stent design contribute to improve the procedural success and clinical outcome of complex PCI in complex patients
- To explore which are the remaining challenges in complex PCI patients and lesions and what are the opportunities for the best possible patient’s clinical outcome
