Based on the results of the Optimize PRO and OCEAN-TAVI studies, Yohei Ohno and Yusuke Watanabe explain the key principles of the cusp overlap technique, a novel technique to potentially reduce new onset conduction disturbance. The objectives of the cusp overlap technique being to Determine, Assess, Reduce, and Trust (DART), the latter is compared with both the 3 cusp coplanar view and the LAO view, and the interest of isolating NCC is thus highlighted, as well as the use of the hat marker to achieve commissural alignment.
