Challenging situations to access the aortic valve - Part 1

Session comprising selected EuroPCR 2024 Clinical Case submissions

Summary

This session features selected clinical case submissions that showcase challenging situations in accessing the aortic valve, including cases with severe peripheral arterial disease, tortuous aortic anatomy, and complex comorbidities. The session provides an opportunity to learn from the experiences of experts in navigating these complex scenarios and identifying alternative access routes when necessary.

Presentations available when logged in:

  • TAVR and abdominal aortic aneurysm, in a patient with severe peripheral arterial disease
  • Protected high-risk PCI and transfemoral TAVR via Y-graft vascular prothesis
  • Alternative route can be a valid route
  • Calcium in all scenarios: TAVI, rotablation and peripheral artery disease in one patient
  • Facing severe tortuosity in TAVR
  • Rigid realities - tackling horizontal morphology and dynamics with precision
  • Successful TAVI for the tortuous aortic artery using NAVITOR
  • Placement of a self-expanding transcatheter aortic bioprosthetic with sharp aortic arch angulation
