Summary

This session presents the latest updates and evidence on the expanding indications for transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI). It covers topics such as the impact of unfavorable aortic valve anatomy on TAVI outcomes, sex-specific differences in cardiac damage in aortic stenosis patients undergoing TAVI, the use of the SAPIEN 3 Ultra valve with a focus on minimalist periprocedural practices and early discharge, TAVI in heart transplant recipients and left ventricular assist device carriers, and the use of intravascular lithotripsy and protection wire techniques to improve outcomes in TAVI patients with peripheral artery disease or at risk of coronary obstruction.

Presentations available when logged in:

  • Impact of unfavorable aortic valve anatomy on TAVI outcomes: from the OPERA-TAVI registry
  • Sex-specific differences in upstream cardiac damage in patients with aortic stenosis undergoing TAVR
  • SAPIEN 3 Ultra in aortic stenosis: focus on minimalist periprocedural practices and early discharge
  • TAVI with the TRILOGY valve for aortic regurgitation: low vs high risk patients
  • TRANSPER registry: transcatheter structural heart interventions in HTx recipients and left ventricular assist device carriers
  • Intravascular lithotripsy shows excellent results in TAVR patients with peripheral artery disease
  • Usefulness of protection wire technique in TAVR: preliminary results from the SURF-TAVR registry
  • Transcaval TAVI: experience of a real-world multicentric registry
