TAVI and coronary artery disease

Facilitators: M. Borger, M. Orzalkiewicz

Summary

Examine the evolving role of coronary artery disease assessment in TAVI patients. This session compares coronary tomography and angiography for pre-TAVI evaluation, reviews safety and effectiveness of CT angiography-based strategies, and introduces the UNICORN procedure for managing high coronary obstruction risk in complex TAVI scenarios including valve-in-valve and redo-TAVR.

Presentations available when logged in:

  • Tomography vs. angiography for coronary assessment before TAVI (TACT study)
  • Safety and effectiveness of a coronary CT angiography-based approach in pre-TAVI evaluation
  • CT angiography replacing coronary angiography before TAVI: insights from the EASE-IT CT registry
  • UNICORN procedure for high coronary obstruction risk in TAVR, valve-in-valve TAVR, and redo-TAVR
