Artificial intelligence-driven precision therapy for TAVI: progress and practice in China
Summary
This EuroPCR 2026 session explores the integration of artificial intelligence into precision therapy for TAVI in China, highlighting its growing role in procedural planning, optimisation and outcome prediction.
Through case-based discussion, it shows how AI-enabled tools can simulate valve deployment and visualise post-TAVR results, supporting more precise planning and assessment. In complex cases such as large annulus TAVR, AI is used to anticipate paravalvular leak and identify potential mechanisms, including low implant height or insufficient oversizing.
The discussion also highlights that while AI provides powerful predictive insights, clinical judgement and operator experience remain essential to refine decisions and, in some cases, achieve superior solutions.
Overall, the session illustrates a complementary approach where AI enhances precision TAVI planning, while human expertise continues to guide optimal patient outcomes.
Learning Objectives
- To explore how artificial intelligence drive the precision and advancement of TAVI clinical practice
- To analyse the key strategies for translating TAVI innovation into improved procedural outcomes and patient care quality
- To identify future development directions for TAVI by synthesising insights from cutting-edge clinical and technological practices
