TAVI in heart failure is possible

Session comprising selected EuroPCR 2026 clinical cases submissions

Summary

This session demonstrates the feasibility of transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) in patients with heart failure through a series of challenging cases. It covers sequential management of hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy with aortic stenosis, advanced heart failure interventions, staged approaches in cardiogenic shock, and complex percutaneous interventions in severe left ventricular dysfunction.

Presentations available when logged in:

  • Sequential transcatheter management of combined HOCM and aortic stenosis
  • A challenging case of advanced heart failure in a young patients
  • A staged approach to cardiogenic shock in low-flow aortic stenosis, coronary ischaemia with ITP
  • Planned CPB successfully supports concomitant TF - TAVR/PCI in patient with acute cardiogenic shock
  • Double trouble in the left ventricular outflow tract
  • Severe aortic valve stenosis with advanced left ventricular dysfunction: a challenging percutaneous intervention
