It's not all about the anatomy - When physiology matters!
With the collaboration of the Association of CardioVascular Interventions of the Polish Cardiac Society, Interventional Working Group / Finnish Cardiac Society and Working Group for Interventional Cardiology, Austrian Society of Cardiology
Summary
This session, in collaboration with various international cardiology societies, emphasizes the importance of physiology-guided interventions in complex multivessel disease. It presents three cases demonstrating the use of CTCA-derived cFFR, pressure wire assessment in bifurcation PCI, and angio-based FFR to guide treatment decisions. The discussions highlight how contemporary physiological tools, such as cFFR and QFR, can complement anatomical information to optimize PCI planning and precision, particularly in challenging scenarios involving multivessel disease and bifurcation lesions.
Learning Objectives
- To know how to let physiology guide your intervention in a complex multivessel disease
- To learn how to use physiology in a bifurcation PCI
- To see cases with pre- and post-PCI physiology assessment involving CTCA derived cFFR and quantitative flow ratio (QFR)
