Summary

This session presents cutting-edge research on Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI), focusing on comparative outcomes between Myval and Evolut valves in large aortic annuli, the role of balloon post-dilation in self- and balloon-expandable valves, and novel valve-in-mechanical valve replacement approaches. Long-term follow-up data contrasting surgical aortic valve replacement (AVR) and TAVI in patients under 70 years are also examined, alongside interventions addressing mixed Sievers type 1 bicuspid aortic valve disease.

Presentations available when logged in:

  • TAVI with Myval vs. Evolut in large aortic annuli: 30-day clinical and haemodynamic outcomes
  • Balloon post-dilation after TAVI among self- and balloon-expandable valves: meta-analysis
  • Transcatheter aortic valve-in-mechanical valve replacement: a preclinical and first-in-human study
  • Long-term follow-up of surgical AVR versus TAVI in patients younger than 70 years
  • Transcatheter aortic valve intervention in mixed Sievers type 1 bicuspid aortic valve disease
