TAVI in challenging scenarios

Facilitators: S. Gunasekaran, A. Ghattas

Summary

This session explores complex and emergent scenarios in TAVI, featuring cases such as emergent transfemoral TAVI in failing homograft roots complicated by extensive aortic dissection, the use of BASILICA in high-risk left main occlusion terrain, and the aorto-mitral challenges during TAVR. It also covers innovative coronary ostia protection techniques and unique clinical presentations including TAVI-in-TAVI-in-TAVI and incidental double aortic arch discovery.

Presentations available when logged in:

  • Emergent transfemoral TAVI in failing homograft root with extensive type B aortic dissection
  • BASILICA in a tough terrain: calcified ostial left main stenosis and high risk of left main occlusion
  • Close neighbors: aorto-mitral challenge during TAVR
  • Reclaiming the coronary ostia: surgical precision without the scalpel
  • TAVI in TAVI in TAVI
  • Incidental double aortic arch discovered in an elderly patient undergoing TAVI
