TAVI sub-studies - Beyond the primary endpoint

Session comprising selected EuroPCR 2026 abstract submissions

Moderators: O. Chehab, B. Hennessey

Summary

This session reviews key sub-studies from major TAVI trials that extend beyond primary endpoints to provide a deeper understanding of valve performance and patient outcomes. It covers comparisons between balloon-expandable and self-expanding valves, long-term real-world data on the Myval valve, echocardiographic outcomes, composite endpoint analyses, and the assessment of coronary artery disease with iFR in TAVI candidates.

Presentations available when logged in:

  • Balloon expandable vs self-expanding transcatheter heart valves in large annulus: a SWEDEHEART study
  • Long-term outcomes of Myval transcatheter heart valve series in real-world severe aortic stenosis
  • One-year echocardiographic outcomes of the Myval vs. contemporary TAVI valves: the LANDMARK trial
  • Win ratio analysis of the one-year composite endpoints in the LANDMARK trial
  • One-year full cohort outcomes of TAVI device for low and intermediate risk patients: VANTAGE trial
  • Five-year outcomes from the SURTAVI and Evolut Low Risk trials stratified by atrial fibrillation
  • iFR to assess coronary artery disease in patients undergoing TAVI: insights from the FAITAVI trial
