Comment by Jean Marco:
COVID-19 can place extraordinary and sustained demands on public health and health systems and on providers of essential community services. Such demands will create the need to ration medical equipment and interventions. Jean Marco recommends the article above- it could hep your team to take in a teamwork approach, difficult decision for particular patients according to your critical reflection on your local experience and local constraints. - Critical Organizational Issues for Cardiologists in the COVID-19 Outbreak: A Frontline Experience From Milan, Italy

Comment by Jean Marco:
This paper, albeit published in 2003, is of interest to the community, even if the subject is not interventional cardiology. We are discovering a new disease, its possible symptoms and their description by following the evolution of patients without specific treatment (see modern medicine of certain infectious diseases in the years 1935-1940), going so far as to express the need for autopsies, or biopsies in our search to understand the cause. The cardiovascular pathology of the similarities (disseminated thromboses) of young patients with HIV needs to be debated and discussed with our friends and colleagues working in big public hospitals in South Africa, as it seems that we are coming across a resemblance in certain forms of STEMI.
