COVID-19 vaccines: taking a closer look

As healthcare systems across the world struggle to meet the increasing demands of caring for a large number of patients affected by COVID-19, many cardiology services are faced with repurposing and the attention of our community is directed towards a possible solution to this health crisis. By the principle of prevention, vaccines are the hoped-for solution to this overwhelming health problem.

Objectives of this educational series on the analysis of Phase 3 clinical trials of COVID-19 vaccines:

to provide readers with the essentials needed to understand and take ownership of the key data related to the emerging COVID-19 vaccines, which can change the evolution of the pandemic, in order to ultimately help them to deliver advices to their patients, and
to encourage readers to apply the proposed method of analysis for developing their self-critical reflection on the published studies.
