PCR Planet: interventional cardiology in the context of COVID-19 in Denmark and Poland

In this interview Bernard Prendergast discuss the COVID-19 pandemic and its impacts with Lars Sondergaard (Copenhagen, Denmark) and Maciej Lesiak (Poznan, Poland).

In Denmark and Poland, hospitals are not overwhelmed yet which allows them :

  • To maintain their regular programs, treat all patients including elective cases so that they avoid an increase in the waiting list
  • To prepare in case the situation deteriorates

While the epidemic in their respective countries seems to be under control, their main concern is a potential second wave in a few months.
