PCR Spotlight: organising a dedicated Covid-19 cath lab

In this video Salvatore Brugaletta (Barcelona, Spain), Javier Escaned and Vera Rodriguez (Madrid, Spain) focus on how to organise the cath lab during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The watchword is Be Ready!

- Identify a dedicated COVID-19 Cath lab, if you are working in one cath lab only apply all recommendations discussed in the video
- Dedicate time to be well trained with Personal Protection Equipment (PPE): most cath lab personnel are not used to working in biological hazard zones
- Establish clear steps about going in and out: social distancing is also paramount in the cath lab
