Ariel Roguin, Eli Lev, and Pablo Codner returned to Herzliya to facilitate the second PCR Seminars after a successful session in February.

18 participants from local institutions participated in a two-day seminar on the management of a patient with lesions including bifurcation. This experienced group of practitioners was very engaged and shared tips and tricks applicable to their daily practice.

Management of patients with complex coronary artery disease

15-16 June 2019 - Chennai, India

In the city of Chennai, India, 250 participants took part in this two-day PCR Seminars as part of the NEED global event. Participants were provided the opportunity to learn from two experienced facilitators, Goran Stankovic and Maciej Lesiak, who facilitated an informative experience.

Cases presented to the participants included: patient presenting with a proximal left main, with a distal left main bifurcation, management of the most frequent complication in left main/perforations.

This large group of active participants ensured a positive experience for these healthcares professionals and two exciting days full of learning and sharing.

5-6 April 2019 -  Cairo, Egypt

A recent PCR Seminar held in Cairo, Egypt was one of the largest to date. Indeed, a total of 200 interventional cardiologists from different cardiac centres in Egypt came together for two days of tailor-made education.

The seminar addressed the management of patients presenting with STEMI and coronary artery disease, and 20 highly-educational clinical cases served to make it totally relevant to daily practice.

It was facilitated by a team of six seasoned practitioners: Thomas Cuisset, Jean Fajadet, Hazem Khamis, Maciej Lesiak, Mohamed Loutfi, El Sayed Farag and Mohamed Sadaka. The large number of participants ensured an extremely enriching and lively exchange of experience all throughout the sessions.

28-29 March 2019 -  Moscow, Russia

A total of 35 participants from all over Russia gathered in Moscow for a 2-day PCR Seminar on the management of a patient presenting with complex MVD.

Facilitated by a seasoned team formed by Alexey Biryukov, Robert Gil, Evgenii Kretov and Kirill Smirnov, it was held in the Russian language and combined both theoretical and practical learning.

On the second day a highly educational workshop involving dedicated simulators meant the participants obtained ‘hands-on’ experience with practical cases, during which the facilitators gave them extremely valuable advice on techniques.

Interaction and exchange between peers was at a maximum throughout, making a rewarding experience for all concerned.

14-15 March 2019, Meeting Lab - Toulouse, France

Mid-March, a total of 32 practitioners travelled to Toulouse, France to participate in a highly educational and interactive PCR Seminar dedicated to complex multivessel coronary artery disease.

They came from both near and far to share their knowledge and opinions: Belgium, Croatia, Italy, the Maghreb, Romania, Serbia, South Africa and Ukraine.

The lively two days were facilitated by the experienced interventionalists Jean Fajadet, Bruno Farah and Jean-Charles Spychaj, who used several of the participants’ own clinical cases to fuel discussions and rich exchange between all!

12-13 March 2019, Hospital Clinico San Carlos - Madrid, Spain

PCR Seminar 2019 at Madrid

Another successful PCR Seminar took place in the Hospital Clinico San Carlos - Madrid, Spain in mid-March and gathered 17 enthusiastic participants!

Facilitators Javier Escaned and Nieves Gonzalo were joined in their home institute by Martine Gilard and Angela McInerney, and a total of four LIVE demonstrations were carried out.

Participants were able to closely follow the procedures going on in the nearby cathlab, and did not hesitate to question the Operators throughout.

It was an extremely educational two days which fully met the objective of learning the best possible management of a patient presenting with complex multivessel CAD.

 

Management of patients with bifurcation lesions with or without a left main disease

22-23 February 2019, Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

PCR Seminars have become a key meeting for the interventional cardiovascular community in Saudi Arabia, where a large ratio of the region’s practitioners participates in these 2-day sessions.

This highly interactive and educational edition saw the impressive number of 104 participants join together in Riyadh.

Each and every one of them felt fully involved, as all of their questions could be raised freely, and all of the cases presented were focused on their daily practice.

PCR Seminars 2019 Saudi

The facilitating team, Mohammed Al Otaiby, Abdullah Alkhushail and Jean Fajadet, helped the participants develop answers to the fundamental question: “What is the best management and technical strategy for each individual patient presenting with a bifurcation involving or not the left main, in the light of local experience and best available evidence.”

One of the cases which served as a highly educative tool was a LIVE demonstration on complex MVD. First broadcast at GulfPCR-GIM 2018 from the Prince Sultan Cardiac Centre in Riyadh, the case is performed by Operators Abdullah Al Khushail and Mohammed Al Otaiby.

The edition met with great recognition for its educative value from all concerned, and a date has already been set for another PCR Seminar in February 2020!

The PCR Seminar year kicked off with a return 2-day visit to Herzliya for PCR Facilitators Ariel Roguin and Eli Lev, along with their Media Driver Pablo Codner.

The 21 participants from local institutions enjoyed rich discussion on the management of a patient with stable coronary artery disease, with many tips and tricks from this pair of experienced experts who regularly partner up for the high educational benefit of all.

 

 

Management of a patient with a high-risk acute coronary syndrome: STEMI and NSTEMI

17-18 January 2019, Uppsala, Sweden

Interaction was at a peak at the first ever PCR Seminar organised in Sweden, where 11 active participants gathered in Uppsala to address the topic of high-risk ACS in STEMI and NSTEMI patients.

The small group were able to benefit from the strong experience of Matthias Heigert and Stefan James, who facilitated this highly-educational 2-day session.

Many clinical case presentations were used as a tool for learning and triggered much discussion and plenty of fruitful exchange!

The first PCR Seminar of 2019 brought together 22 practitioners from a host of different countries: Belarus, Belgium, Italy, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Slovenia, Switzerland, The Netherlands and Ukraine!

They shared 2 days of tailor-made training on complex multivessel disease, facilitated by the renowned interventionalists Martine Gilard and Nicolas Van Mieghem.

 
The participants exchanged knowledge and opinions in a most convivial atmosphere, creating a truly unique and enriching educational experience for everyone concerned.
