PCR Seminars 2024: education brought to your doorstep!
Management of aortic stenosis patients with TAVI
2-3 November 2024 – Hanoi, Vietnam
With an unrestricted educational grant from Medtronic
Developed for interventional cardiologists aiming to undertake complex procedures in their daily practice, this PCR Seminar on TAVI gathered 40 enthusiastic participants. Five renowned and experienced facilitators were joined by 12 regional speakers/case presenters, and their step-by-step reasoning approach and interactive discussions ensured a highly educational learning experience for all.

On the first day of the seminar, after a convivial welcome and introduction, the programme comprised four sessions on pre-TAVI analysis, streamline TF TAVI, the management of patients with CAD and AS, and alternative access. The following day, participants were able to deepen their knowledge and skills further, on topics such as bicuspid aortic stenosis, valve-in-valve procedures and possible pitfalls.
Feedback on the content was extremely positive, with a large majority confirming it would be very useful for the improvement of their daily practice.

Best practices in interventional cardiology
12-14 July 2024 – Bengalore, India
With an unrestricted educational grant from Centrix
Back by popular demand after a highly successful first edition in 2023, this larger than usual PCR Seminar counted an impressive 500 participants divided into two groups. The great deal of learning, sharing and networking throughout both was again most appreciated.

Participants took advantage of three Live-in-a-Box sessions that used recorded LIVE demonstrations to share tips and tricks for LM PCI as well as TAVI, and address the treatment of severely calcified lesions. Hotline sessions focused on new LDL-reducing agents for post-MI patients, and bridging the gaps in ACS care for women in India. The final day rounded up with a series of Complex cases and practical solutions, followed by a summary of key learnings from the most important late-breaking trials.
Another edition of this PCR Seminar in India is in the pipeline for 2025, stay tuned for more information!

Management of a patient with complex valvular disease
5-6 April 2024 - Sao Paulo - Brazil
With an educational grant from Edwards LATAM
This PCR Seminar on complex valvular disease was tailored especially for TAVI implanters looking to better understand the place of imaging to select patients for TAVI, why echo-characteristics are crucial when planning TEER, and how TEE can guide structural interventions.

A step-by-step reasoning approach and interactive case discussions were cleverly implemented to foster debate and the educational exchange of views between participants and the five seasoned facilitators.
The programme covered challenging situations such as small annulus; LVOT; PPM; aortic calcifications; PVL; and pre-, post- or no dilatation. Other topics included valve-in-valve procedures; the management of pre-existing CAD in anticipated TAVI; post-TAVI PCI; as well as a look at new frontiers in this fast-moving field.
