PCRonline, launched in 2002 as an integral part of the PCR family of courses and educative programmes, was created as a vehicle to share knowledge, experience and practice in interventional cardiovascular medicine. Salvatore Brugaletta will be succeeding Davide Capodanno, who has chaired the Editorial Board of PCRonline since 2017.
Today, almost twenty years after it was founded, the role of PCRonline is more critical than ever before in ensuring the healthy and continued development of interventional cardiovascular medicine. Faced with the rapid evolution of devices and treatments, the practice of interventional cardiology demands rigorous attention to training, education and innovations, while keeping abreast of the changing relationship with industry while facing the challenge of offering the best possible cardiovascular care that respects local healthcare systems and restricted budgets.
It is the role of the Editor-in-Chief of PCRonline to ensure that this interactive platform offers the clarity and guidance that our visitors need, proposing to the community the most valid content from PCR courses, along with information, commentaries about news in interventional cardiology and a diverse selection of editorial and educational content.
With his rare combination of clinical knowledge and academic expertise, Salvatore Brugaletta is eminently qualified to lead PCRonline, renewing our dedication to furthering the practice of interventional cardiology and influencing the present and future of our specialty.
The close collaboration between Davide Capodanno as the new editor-in-chief of Eurointervention and Salvatore Brugaletta as editor-in-chief of PCRonline will contribute to the continued growth and reputation to both EuroIntervention and PCRonline as THE platforms of choice for the interventional cardiovascular community and beyond.
