It reviews available tools and strategies for thrombus management, presents multiple case-based discussions illustrating treatment decisions, and explores the evolving role of thrombus aspiration in contemporary practice.

PCI for complex calcific coronary artery disease - LIVE Case
22 May 2025 – From EuroPCR 2025
An 87-year-old female patient, at high bleeding risk and with preserved LV function, presented 2 months ago with an inferior STEMI and multivessel disease. She initially underwent RCA PCI followed by staged LCx PCI. She was now referred for PCI of a long, heavily calcified lesion...

Coronary complications: stent loss
22 May 2025 – From EuroPCR 2025
Examine coronary stent loss complications and retrieval techniques in this session. Review innovative approaches such as retrieval of dislodged stents from unusual locations like the renal artery, and discussions on navigating stent-related struggles, including the mechanical journey and consequences of stent loss during PCI.

Multimodality imaging and physiology for MINOCA diagnosis
20 May 2025 – From EuroPCR 2025
This session highlights the power of multimodality imaging and physiology in diagnosing MINOCA. Topics include detecting hidden plaque vulnerability, managing unexpected diagnoses beyond MINOCA, decision-making on stenting, AI's added value, and lessons from recurrent cases.

How to efficiently and safely manage calcified left main disease?
21 May 2025 – From EuroPCR 2025
Nicola Ryan and Flavio Ribichini explore the complexities of calcified left main stem disease, emphasizing the critical role of intracoronary imaging in improving patient outcomes. They discuss the practical use of mechanical circulatory support and debate stenting strategies, offering expert insights on when single or dual...

What are the fundamentals of an upfront two-stent strategy for bifurcation PCI?
21 May 2025 – From EuroPCR 2025
Nicola Ryan explores the fundamentals of an upfront two-stent strategy in bifurcation PCI with Dejan Milasinovic. When the side branch shows significant, high-grade stenosis or extensive disease, direct treatment—via POBA, DCB, or a second stent—may be preferred. Anatomy guides the decision between provisional and two-stent strategies,...
